The Wherry is a charming Suffolk holiday cottage. A lovely Victorian cottage, set in a quiet street in the centre of Halesworth, Suffolk. Renovated to a high standard, the property retains its original charm and character whilst providing a stylish and cosy holiday retreat. Sleeps 2-5 plus one dog.
The cottage takes its name from the Suffolk wherries that ferried barley and malt along the river Blyth, enabling the local brewery trade to grow and prosper. Nestling between historic maltings and the Quay Street area, the location is steeped in the history of this thriving market town.
The Wherry
The Wherry is fully equipped with modern conveniences, and tastefully furnished with high quality fixtures, antiques and original artworks. Internal decoration picks up on the shipping theme with quirky and artistic details.
This lovely Suffolk coast holiday cottage is occupied regularly by the owners. It is only available for holiday rental for one week in each month and is very popular with those wanting an extremely comfortable retreat to snuggle up and hide or to explore the Suffolk coast and countryside.
The cottage is not suitable for children. One well-behaved dog always welcome.
